Red Raspberries- Hello everyone and I hope you are all having a great summer! We sure can’t complain about not having enough heat. It has certainly been a record year for heat and the crops continue to come on early! We are currently picking our fall red raspberries and they look and taste fantastic! We offer them already picked at our fruit stand for 2/$6 or U-pick for $2.00/lb. Our U-Pick hours are from 9am-6pm 7 days/wk. until the season is over.

Other Crops: Grapes are ripening rapidly. We expect Fredonias to be ready around Labor Day with Niagaras around Sept. 15th. Our Concord grapes should be ready around the 3rd week of Sept. but keep an eye on our website as I will let you know when they are ready for u-pick. Apples should be starting around late August starting with Gala and Macintosh. At our roadside fruit stand you can still find blueberries which are coming to an end soon, tomatoes, squash, peppers, and raspberries. Remember to visit us at the Niles and Buchanan farmers markets every Saturday morning where we offer all this and more including  peaches, sweet corn, local honey, and homemade jams!

Red Raspberries- Well, it seems as though the summer is going very quickly as usual and a hot summer it has been. Our red raspberries are in full production and it is a bumper crop! We are currently offering at our fruit stand picked raspberries for $3.50/pint or 2/$6.00. Our U-pic price is $2.00/lb. We are open daily from 9am-6pm. We also do have some black raspberries as well but have a limited quantity. If you would like to order flats, please give us a call at (269)684-5865. We are selling picked flats for $30.

 selling locally grown sweet cherries and blueberries. Sweet cherries will be done in about a week and our blueberry season is just beginning!

There's nothing like freshly picked Michigan strawberries!

Picked Strawberries:

We are now picking our homegrown Michigan strawberries daily. Our hours are 9:00am-7:00pm and are open 7 days/wk. Our price for picked strawberries is $3.00/quart or $20.00 for an 8 quart flat. Our strawberry season lasts for 2-3 weeks depending on the weather.

U-Pick Strawberries:

Our U-Pick will be open beginning Thursday, June 3rd. We will supply you with a container or you can bring your own. We charge $1/lb. for our u-pick strawberries. Our hours are 9am-7pm, 7 days/wk. We offer nice, clean fields with lots of beautiful berries!

Asparagus Update:

We are sadly winding down towards the end of our asparagus season. It certainly was a great year for asparagus and we hope you all enjoyed it! We will have asparagus available for only a few more days so come on out and stock up while you still can.

First Flats Picked Today!

With the warmer than normal temperatures we have been having here in Southwest Michigan over the last few days, our early variety berries are beginning to ripen! We actually picked several flats out of the field today for the first time and sold out very quickly. It seems as though everyone is ready for some local, sweet and juicy, Michigan strawberries! Of course we had to sample the first ones and boy are they good! Made some shortcake and a strawberry pie that was a real treat! Picking will be sporadic at first as we will not pick every day. As the season continues, we will be picking daily and will open up our u-pick when we have sufficient quantity. Keep an eye on the website as I will post when we open our u-pick.

Aparagus Update

We are still picking asparagus daily and anticipate another 1-2 weeks for the season. Be sure to check out our asparagus coupon on the right hand side of this page for our “freezer special.” If you purchase 10 lbs. or more, the price would be $1.25/lb. This is the time of year to put some in the freezer so you can enjoy Michigan asparagus all winter long!
